Support and advice for staff and re-opening

Latest update from CEO, Claire Pattullo

Tues 14th July 2020

As we move to phase three of the Scottish Government’s route map, more members are planning to re-open. There are a number of online events coming up that explore some of the issues around re-opening or modifying your business.

Thematic SENs

Social Enterprise Networks Scotland has a number of thematic SENs that bring together Social Enterprises from across the country around specific topics or industries. Upcoming thematic SEN meetings and activities are detailed below;

Joint Thematic SEN Session:  Supporting your staff back to work – Thursday 16th July 2-3.30pm via Zoom Douglas Strang of BTO’s Employment team will talk you through the practicalities of getting your staff back to work as we move through the Scottish Government’s phased approach to easing lockdown. Lindsay MacNeill from BTO’s Health and Safety team will review your duties as an employer to ensure the safety of your staff and how best to meet your legislative responsibilities in light of the current situation and shifting government guidance.   There will be plenty of time for your questions too.  Email Jayne to book your place.

Employability SEN Network Meeting – Tuesday 21st July, 11.00-12.00 via Zoom Social Enterprises across the country have responded amazingly to meet the needs of their communities and support the most vulnerable through the current crisis.  In doing so, we know members have adopted new ways of operating, pivoted services, overcome challenges, refocused on markets or new social needs and now, are planning for the future.  Email Jayne to book your place.
