Students as Change Agent Interviews #2 – Annabella and Magnus

Interview with Annabella and Magnus from Edinburgh University’s “Students as Change Agents” programme.

Students as Change Agents (SACHA) is an exciting challenge-based programme which brings together students from different subjects to tackle real-world problems with a wider social, environmental, or economic impact. By joining the programme students become a ‘Change Agent’ and have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to the real world, with the potential to have a genuine impact and contribute to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

This semesters question given to the students was,

‘How might we foster collaboration between social enterprise and mainstream businesses to help make ‘buying for social good’ the norm rather than the alternative?’

The student teams from Edinburgh University came up with some incredible practical ideas for social enterprises and presented them to a roomful of their peers, social entrepreneurs and many others from the third, public and private sector.

Thank you to Edinburgh University for hiring a social enterprise venue (Greyfriars Charteris Centre) and using a social enterprise catering service (Goodies) for the day!
