Food Education

Cyrenians – Food Production
From our Flavour and Haver Cook School, now a food production kitchen, we are responding to the COVID-19 crisis by offering free cooked meals delivered to vulnerable/elderly/ isolated people and families in the community. We also provide meals for NHS staff in Edinburgh as well as people in temporary accommodation.
Edinburgh Community Food
Edinburgh Community Food delivers fruit to the work place and fruit and vegetables to the home and is an accredited REHIS centre for health and hygiene training. All of its profits go back into its community work in Edinburgh to encourage healthy eating and cooking on a budget in disadvantaged areas.
Rhyze Mushrooms
Rhyze is a working farm and education project. As part of a global movement for agroecology, we work with decomposing fungi and worms to repurpose waste, improve soil health and empower communities.
Scran Academy
Scran Academy is a catering social enterprise on a mission to see every young person, regardless of background or barrier, realise their full potential in learning, work and life. Too many young people in our most challenged communities never realise their talents or aspirations due to the effects of social inequality and poverty. They have two cafes, have a van used for events around Edinburgh and offer much more.
YOU CAN COOK
YOU CAN COOK organises cookery classes, demonstrations and workshops on nutrition and food related issues all over Scotland. We customise all our services to suit our client's needs. We provide all the equipment and we travel to you.
