ScotArt

ScotArt

It is the aim of Scot-Art to stimulate urban regeneration and to breathe new life into under-used spaces, driving economic growth, social cohesion and opportunity.  The vision of Scot-Art is centred around fostering a spirit of community, individuality, and creative expression with an aim of providing desperately needed local services to the people of the local community.

Scot-Art currently provides accommodation for over 350 tenants, with 40% of them being charities and start-up organizations. Scot-Art’s key specialism is in the creation of dynamic and vibrant incubator hubs where individuals and groups can share workspaces, interact, collaborate, and exchange ideas. These hubs serve as platforms for innovation, economic growth and job creation all while regenerating and enhancing the properties within the portfolio.

To date, Scot-Art has re-invested a total of £5,000,000 into the properties it manages within the portfolio and it is estimated that has generated a total Social Return on Investment, or SROI, of over £10,000,000 since the establishment of the charity in 2007. This constitutes more than a 100% increase since the initial SROI study conducted December of 2015. The SROI is measured by the 1,000s of new jobs that have been created, the 1,000s of people who visit Scot-Art sites each week as well as over 100,000 learning opportunities created each year. New employment, entrepreneurial, training, educational, and recreational opportunities continue, as does the demand for flexible and affordable spaces across Scotland.
