Edinburgh Community Food is all about helping people enjoy delicious, fresh healthy food and making sure everyone in the city has access to a healthy diet. Their social enterprise work includes sourcing and selling the best quality fresh produce, locally grown wherever possible. They deliver fresh fruit and vegetables to homes and businesses across the city and run stalls in Edinburgh’s hospitals selling their great produce to staff, patients and visitors. Edinburgh Community Food are also an accredited REHIS centre delivering a suite of training courses covering all aspects of food and health and food hygiene.
All of its profits go back into their charity work to tackle health inequalities in low-income communities in Edinburgh through food and health development and promotion work including cooking courses, nutrition workshops, health information sessions and food exploration.
