Established in 1947, CIEE is the largest study abroad charity and a global leader in high-quality internship and volunteer programs. Since opening our Edinburgh site in 2023, we’ve placed talented US university students across all disciplines, helping them earn academic credit while gaining real-world experience- at no cost to host organizations.
CIEE manage the full process, including matching, onboarding, housing, visas, well-being and providing immersive experiences. Interns contribute to meaningful projects alongside professional teams, supporting Edinburgh local businesses and non-profits in areas such as finance, marketing, arts and culture, HR, sustainability, STEM, advocacy and policy research, curation and many more.
