We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Lawrence, as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Steve has been working as the interim CEO at ESEN for the past three months, alongside his role as our Member Engagement Officer and has now moved into the CEO position full time.
Board member Emma Galloway has said,
“As a Board we have been extremely grateful for the way that Steve stepped into the role as Interim CEO over the last 6 months and are delighted to recognise him now as our permanent CEO.
Steve was interviewed by a panel of three board members plus an internal advisor, we were all impressed by Steve’s commitment to our membership, his comprehensive knowledge of social enterprise and his track record of engagement and partnership working.
We are excited to be working with Steve as he embarks on this new role.”
From his previous role as Member Engagement Officer, he is an invaluable source of information on the Social Enterprise sector and what ESEN can offer, along with great practical ideas on how we can best help Social Enterprises in Edinburgh.
Steve is looking forward to starting his new role as Chief Executive Officer and continuing to engage with current and new members, as well as working with partners and stakeholders to lead ESEN into the future.
